Ahead of the ‘Pedal to End Polio’ a cycle rally to help raise funds for polio eradication taking place at the National Stadium Lagos, Grand Oak Limited a leading and foremost brand in the distillery’s sector with branches in various states of Nigeria has partnered with Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa.
Tagged ‘Pedal to End Polio’, the event will be held at the Lagos National Stadium, Surulere this Saturday (6:30 am – 10:30 am) with the target of raising N1m. All funds raised will go towards the fight against polio.
Grand Oak Limited has shown support to the Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa by signing a partnership deal to sponsor the cycling event.
General marketing manager of Grand Oak Limited, Stanley Obi describes the financial partnership with Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa as a ‘privilege’. Obi spoke on how the cooperation aligns with the purpose of Grand Oak Limited.
“Our company stands for humanity, it stands for putting smiles on people’s faces and making the world a better place. That is why we feel it is right to join forces with Rotary to make this project a success,” Obi disclosed.
“We will do even more when we have this kind of opportunity. We are not just seeing it as an opportunity but a privilege for us as a company to partner with Rotary. Everybody knows what rotary stands for.
“Everything is set for Saturday. A lot of cycling clubs in Lagos have indicated their interest to be part of this initiative.”
Participants will be provided with medals and breakfast.
